Narrative Therapy

You are more than what happened to you, reclaim your identity and voice.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy invites reflection on the stories that have been shaped by trauma and stress. Through curiosity and compassion, clients are supported in reshaping these stories in ways that feel empowering, grounded, and authentic.

Reclaiming Your Story Beyond Trauma

Trauma can shape the stories we tell ourselves about who we are, what we deserve, and what is possible. Narrative therapy focuses on helping individuals separate their identity from their experiences—especially when trauma, loss, or chronic stress has overshadowed their sense of self.

Within the Parami Integrative Pathway Method (PAIR-ME), narrative therapy supports meaning-making and integration after deeper nervous system work. Rather than reliving the past, this approach helps clients re-author their story in a way that honors survival, resilience, and personal values.

By exploring language, identity, and lived experience, clients are supported in reclaiming agency, strengthening self-compassion, and moving forward with clarity and intention.

Within PAIR-ME, narrative work helps clients:

  • Separate their identity from their trauma

  • Reclaim personal agency and voice

  • Integrate experiences into a cohesive life story

  • Cultivate self-compassion and purpose

This aspect of the work is especially meaningful for Veterans, trauma survivors, and individuals navigating identity shifts after loss or adversity.
