A Holistic Approach to Healing and Growth

Rooted in Parami

At Parami Wellness, we view healing as more than symptom relief—it’s about cultivating the qualities that allow you to live with balance and clarity. Our approach addresses the whole person: emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual well-being.

Therapy and EMDR provide evidence-based tools to calm the nervous system, resolve trauma, and restore a sense of safety. Coaching builds on that foundation, helping you strengthen clarity, confidence, and habits that support your daily life and leadership.

This progression—first healing, then thriving—captures the essence of Parami: cultivating strengths that carry you forward.

Our aim? To help you discover your own Parami, and build the resilience and growth that sustain lasting change.

Therapy

Talk therapy for trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress. Sessions focus on understanding your story, practicing new coping skills, and creating a sense of safety and stability.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps reprocess stuck memories so they lose their emotional charge. This evidence-based method supports the brain’s natural ability to heal and move forward.

Coaching

Structured support for leaders and high performers. Clarify priorities, build habits, and deliver results without burning out.

Resources

Guides, worksheets, and recommended reading to support your growth between sessions.

Schedule your Intake Appointment

Log in and request an appointment slot. Upon approval of your appointment request, you will receive a link to set up your Client Portal. Step 2:

For therapy, during our 1.5 to 2-hour intake, we will take a detailed mental health history and family history and discuss the presenting problem.  We will discuss treatment as well as payment options.

For coaching, we’ll assess your needs and set personalized goals to guide your coaching journey. You’ll leave with actionable steps tailored to your chosen program’s pace and structure.

Frequent Questions

Here are some of the more frequently asked questions people ask.  If you don’t see your particular question, feel free to call and ask us.

How do I know you are the right therapist for me?

I am not for everybody. My style may not be right for you as an individual, couple, or family.  That doesn’t mean therapy is not right for you. You may just need to find the right therapist for you.  We won’t know this until you schedule an appointment and come see me.  If we don’t vibe, no worries I will help you find someone who is a better fit for you.

Who do you work with?

For therapy, Quiana works with couples, families, and LGBTQ+. Quiana’s expertise is working with couples and Military families. She does not provide therapy for children outside of the family counseling dynamic. She does not provide Adaptive Yoga services for children and adults.

For coaching, Brian works with individuals and couples—Brian’s expertise in leadership, executive, and health wellness coaching. Couples coaching is conducted as joint sessions with Quiana. While individual coaching is focused on accountability and leadership skills that you can apply in your personal, professional, and family spheres.

How long does a coaching or therapy session last?

For coaching and counseling sessions, the first intake session will take 1.5 to 2 hours. Each session after that will last the standard 50 minutes.

When will I see results from coaching?

The timing for seeing results from our coaching programs can vary significantly, as courses range from six weeks up to a year. The specific program you choose will dictate the length and structure, with some requiring weekly assignments and others offering a more self-paced approach. However, even within this variability, our coaching aims to provide noticeable improvements within the timeframe of the program you select.

Leveraging a holistic blend of Eastern and Western techniques, we focus on areas such as self-leadership, self-accountability, and relational well-being. You may start to experience minor shifts like improved mindset and better communication skills fairly quickly, but more substantial, transformative changes often evolve over the span of the program.

Your journey is as individual as you are, and we’re committed to supporting you as you work toward your unique “Parami”—your path to perfection—in all facets of your life.

Will I need therapy forever?

It all depends on your diagnosis. Some clients have issues that can be treated quickly while some have issues that are persistent and require longer periods of therapy.

What if I dont have insurance?

We accept private pay and offer various payment plans. We currently do not accept insurance.

What is a Marriage and Family Therapist?

Marriage and Family Therapists {MFT’s} are mental health professionals trained in psychotherapy and family systems and licensed to diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples, and family systems. We are specifically trained to work with couples and families.

What is the difference between Therapy and Coaching?

Therapy and coaching both aim to improve your life, but they take different routes.

Therapy, conducted by licensed professionals, delves into emotional and psychological issues, often with a long-term perspective. It’s ideal for resolving deep-seated concerns and is usually covered by insurance.

Coaching, on the other hand, focuses on short-term, actionable goals. Conducted by trained and certified, though often not licensed, professionals, it equips you with the skills to tackle specific life challenges. It’s usually not covered by insurance.

What do I wear for an Adaptive Yoga session?

Wear something you will be comfortable moving in. Workout or gym clothes.

What is Reiki and will I be physically touched?

Reiki is energy healing. During a Reiki session, the practitioner will hover their hands just above your body.  If for some reason the practitioner needs to touch you,  they will ask first?

What is your Late policy?

If you arrive late to your appointment you will be cutting into your session time, i.e. 10 mins late = 40 min session.  If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled and you will be charged the cancellation fee. You will be provided with a copy of our Cancellation and Late Fee Policy during your consultation.

What is your cancellation policy?

Clients can cancel or reschedule an appointment anytime, as long as they provide 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel an appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice or fail to show up, you will be charged for the appointment. You will be provided with a copy of our Cancellation and Late Fee Policy during your consultation.
